Report on a recent publication a records linkage study of the gardner hypothesis

It is with some trepidation that I venture to the podium in the presence of such eminent eipdemiologists and radiobiologists, but as K. Mabuchi has just said, a report was published a week ago in the British Medical Journal which was the result of a study to test the Gardner hypothesis. None of the authors is present here, but since several of them are affiliated wit my own organization, I seem to have been nominated to describe that report to you briefly.
