In the current study, mechanical property data for a ex-service pipe with circumferential butt weld and a new pipe which was manufactured at the same time with the former were collected, analyzed and compared with each other to quantify the degree of damage caused by high-temperature service. In this paper, the material properties including fracture toughness and creep-rupture strength were evaluated and the microstructural changes of 10CrMo910 steel were determined by metallographic examination and fractographic techniques. By Larson-Miller parameter method, creep-rupture strength σ_(10~5)~(540) = 75MPa was extrapolated and remaining life of 65,300 hours was predicted.
