Introduction of Local Search into Standard Particle Swarm Optimization

摘要

In this paper a new modification of Particle Swarm Optimization (called PSO) is presented. This modification combined traditional velocity and position rules with the idea of local search which is introduced to improve the search ability of individual particle. Furthermore, this model was tested and compared with standard PSO, which has illustrated that this model has greatly improved the performance of the standard PSO.
