The understandings of the self-organization behaviors of biological swarm systems through careful observation may result in the breakthrough of artificial intelligence. For the design of artificial intelligence systems, we could simulate the self-organization behaviors of biological swarm through the bionic method; that is, we simulate the inter-individual interactions and interactions of the swarm members with their environment, which could imitate the system-level intelligent behaviors like biological swarms emerging through the self-organization behaviors. There is no doubt that this approach will provide the field of artificial intelligence engineering with an absolutely novel method.
