On Tax Reform Beneficial to Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Vehicles

Energy saving and environmental protection is an important precondition to achieve sustainable development in China, and among which the power saving and environmental protection of motor vehicles is an important question for discussion. This article shows the importance for motor vehicles to save energy and reduce exhaust by listing the status of energy sources and environment, and the proportion which the motorcars take among the integral energy consumption and environmental pollution. Then it lists the advanced technologies of energy saving and exhaust reduction in vehicles, the high cost caused from which is educed. Developed countries always provide preferential tax to the energy saving and environmental protection vehicles to achieve the target for energy saving and environmental protection. This article introduces some encouraging policies in main developed countries and districts and gives advices on preferential taxation system of China.
