Grivory HT is the brand name of thermoplastic engineering materials based on semi-crystalline, partially aromatic co-polyamides, PA6T/X from EMS-CHEMIE, business unit EMS-GRIVORY. The main distinguishing feature of Grivory HT, when compared to other well-known polyamides, are its better performance values at high temperatures providing parts which are stiffer, stronger and have better heat distortion stability. Parts made of glass-fibre reinforced Grivory HTV-5H1 can resist thermal pulse loading up to temperatures of 300℃. Parts of Grivory HT remain stiff, strong and dimensionally stable also after moisture or water absorption Grivory HT is an established material to replace die-cast metal or brass and enables considerable cost and weight reduction. Grivory HT fills with its properties the niche between technical thermoplastics and high performance plastics. Grivory HT materials are available as standard grades reinforced with glass-fibres, mineral or hybrid as well as flame retardant types. All these grades may be used efficiently in commercially available machines to produce injection moulded articles. The good flow properties of the melt and its rapid solidification lead to economical production cycles. Grivory HT is suitable for the production of technical parts exposed to high temperatures.
