摘要

A new system for underwater 3-D laser imaging is proposed in this paper, which utilizes gated-range technique to generate multi-distance images of underwater objects or seafloor landform. For reducing the influences on image of forward-scattering, we simulate the forward-scattering component by Monte Carlo method and analyse its temporal and frequency properties. The outcome is constructive significance to enhancing resolution and signal-to-noise ratio of the imaging system. In the reconstruction of real-time 3-D landform, an algorithm of sectional-cross interpolation which based on the random interation function system (IFS) is presented, which needs only a few points in two contours, and decreases greatly the quantities of information and computation required in the 3-D reconstruction, furthermore, contours generated by interpolation obtain fractal properties, the entire underwater 3-D laser imaging system is of real-time properties and practicable.
