摘要

Based on phonon relaxation of excited ions that doped in crystal fibers, we demonstrated a multi-ions co-doped YAG single crystal fiber tip for photo-thermal conversion of solar radiation energy. The 0.55mm-diameter spherical multi-doped fiber tip was fabricated on the end of a 1.1mm-diameter and 100mm-length pure YAG single crystal by means of LHPG method. Pumped by concentrated solar radiation delivered by a 6m-length silica fiber, temperature as high as 220℃ and 50℃ were obtained in air and egg white respectively with pumping power of about 560mW. Experimental results showed that, the solar radiation pumped photo-thermal conversion fiber tip is promising for a number of medical applications.
