摘要

This paper describes the development, testing and application of new monitoring and measurement techniques for deterioration assessment in concrete and steel structures. Acoustic monitoring systems can be used to detect and locate corrosion-induced failures of tensioned steel elements in post-tensioned, cable-stayed and suspension structures. Stress measurements by strain relief method can be used to confirm the existing state of stress in concrete. Ultrasonic measurements can be used to confirm the tension in prestressing bars or tension bolts. Electro-magnetic sensors can be used to monitor the stress in cables or concrete reinforcement.
