Design of a DBMS Component Configuration Toolkit for Embedded DBMS

摘要

Embedded DBMS is a small database system designed to search and save data for embedded device and has many applications depending on its usage and environments. However, most commercial systems have been developed as a form of single monolithic DBMS that comes with problems of configuration, reuse and size. In this paper, we separate DBMS functions and implement it into following components; SQL interface, SQL API, indexing manager, recovery manager, and build a DBMS component construction toolkit The toolkit builds an embedded DBMS according to the system requirements and can increase productivity in the development of fast & flexible embedded DBMS.
