THE USE OF BIOMETRICS IN SECURE CLIENT-SERVER TRANSACTIONS

Nowadays in the computers' world, the user's access to private resources such as e-mail, networks, databases and Web services is mostly protected by password. These passwords may become a serious problem when a user has to log on to different applications and systems, as he must keep in mind a lot of passwords. Regarding this problem the paper presents a solution that helps users use only one password for accessing its various private resources, and an enhancement of this solution that replaces the password with fingerprint.
