Color plays an important role in product design and affects consumers' preference in purchase. This study investigated the designers' product color perception. The semantic differential (SD) method was employed to examine the mapping relationship between designer perception and design color. Taken the mobile phone color design as an example, the model of designer perception and color cognition was set up so as to improve product color design rationality and validity. The study of the designers' product color perception will assist the designers in color design. And it is necessary to study designers' color perceptual image and find out the color attributes and meaning for color design.
