It plays an very important role in the aspects of economic restructuring, new markets exploitation, consumption advance, enhancement of cooperation and exchanges, expanding of products export, and promotion of socio-economic development. But with the limit of exhibition venues size, weather, traffic, time, cost and other factors, the development of exhibition industry confronts many obstacles. By analyzing the background , current situation and trend of virtual exhibition development, this thesis sets forth the superiority and function of virtual exhibition in the aspects of exhibition organizers, exhibitors and visitors. It proves the necessity of developing virtual exhibition. Also, it shows that developing virtual exhibition is the inevitable trend of exhibition development in the future.
