CONTRIBUTIONS TO STUDY THE DISTORTIONS OF ANTENNA PATTERN INTRODUCED BY RADOMES, IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

摘要

Using any type of radome it can obtain the advantage of antenna protection and also some disadvantages like the distortions of protected antenna pattern, the spatial wide of antenna pattern and the orientation of the pattern lobes. The main cause of these distortions is the refraction phenomenon through the radome materials, but all these distortions can be compensated in the signal processing devices of communication systems.
