PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a satellite-mounted receiving antenna pattern in an orbit with higher precision.;SOLUTION: A satellite 1 whose attitude is controlled by an attitude control processing part 41 sends an electric power value and a helix current value outputted from a traveling-wave tube amplifier 27 according to an unmodulated RF signal 37 received by a receiving antenna 2 for communication from an earth station 3 as a telemetry signal 38 to the earth station 3 through a command-receiving/telemetry- transmitting antenna 31. A saturation-time detection processing part 42 once detecting both the sent output electric power value and helix current value of the traveling-wave tube amplifier 27 being in saturated states, computes the saturated electric power flux density of the traveling-wave tube amplifier 27 according to the transmitting electric power value of the RF signal measured by a power meter 11 for up-link power measurement at the point of time of the saturation detection. Then the pattern map of the communication receiving antenna 2 mounted on the satellite is computed according to the saturated electric power flux density computed at each altered and set attitude of the satellite 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
