Development of factory production control guidance for European AAC masonry units

摘要

This paper describes the documentation for the factory production control and the factory inspection schemes for aac masonry units meeting the new European Standard (EN) for AAC masonry units, EN 771-4. A detailed explanation of the quality control clauses of the EN, as well as the guidance for use is given. The role of outside third party bodies is described and detailed information is given on the different tasks to be carried out by the manufacturer and the third party. Two systems of attestation of conformity exist for aac masonry units and the differences between them are explained. Information in the paper contains the guidance on the general requirements to carry out factory production control. Inspection frequencies are suggested for various aspects of factory production control.
