摘要

The objectives of this paper are classified into two items. One is to compare simulationrnresults of the expected sliding distance due to the existing parameters of uncertain factorsrn(e.g. estimation errors of deepwater wave height, calculation errors of waverntransformation, wave period and wave force, uncertainties of friction factor), which isrnconsidered in reliability design procedures of caisson-type breakwaters, and the other is tornpropose alternatives for improved evaluation of the expected sliding distance in thernreliability calculations. As alternatives, a doubly-truncated normal distribution andrnaverage expected sliding distance are proposed with validity through the simulationrnresults.
