BUSINESS CASE OPTIMISATION DURING EARLY COAL MINE PROJECT PHASES

The early study phases are the key to the successful implementation of new coal projects. The benefit of developing an adequate financial model early is crucial to evaluate whether there is, in fact, a project definition that will meet the owner's requirements. Financial models that are flexible, employing a probabilistic rather than deterministic approach allow better insight into factors affecting the project; and better decision making.
