Key Creative Technologies in Structural Design of Small Solid Rocket Motor

摘要

Several new technologies and new processes, including quasi-freestanding structure, winding process with a grain here and all composite design, are adopted in the structural design of a small solid rocket motor, which are novel and original in China. The problem of deformation-coordination between grain and case under low temperature condition is resolved by using quasi-free standing structure. All composite design is capable of reducing the inert weight of motor, and benefit to reclaim remains of rocket. It achieves automation of motor manufacture by using winding process with a grain here, which decreases its manufacture costs. At present, the motor has been produced greatly and continuously for seven years, and more than 30 thousands rockets have been used and assessed, which has gained good social and economical benefit. It is proved that the motor has following features of simple structure, low cost, safety, and high reliability. The motor breaks through the fixed mode of the traditional structure design of solid rocket motor, and provides a selection to design a new motor for reference. This is an important job to design and study the structure of a small solid rocket motor. The national patent of the motor has been gained in 2000(the patent No.98109927.0).
