Regeneration of Solid/liquid Desiccant with Ultrasound-a Systematic Re-view

摘要

Regeneration of desiccant is a crucial process during air dehumidification cycle with the ad-sorption/absorption method. It has a great influence on the energy efficiency of desiccant AC system. The conventional regeneration method by heating is found to be energy-wasting due to the relatively higher regeneration temperature of some desiccant materials. And thus, the ultrasound-assisted regeneration method has been put forward in recent years. The paper will illustrate the mechanism of the new regeneration method with respect to solid or liquid desic-cant, and review some important results arrived at by a series of experimental study. The pos-sible challenges confronted with the new regeneration method are pointed out and discussed as well.
