摘要

Polyethylenimine (PEI) was used to complex LacZ plasmid DNA and the resulting complexes were encapsulated within porous poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) microspheres (MS). Supernatants of an in vitro release of complexes from the MS were capable of transfecting HeLa cells for >75 days. Encapsulated PEI/DNA complexes showed more than 1500-fold higher total expression of β-gal than fresh naked DNA.
