• Sintering at 1280°C, under argon, for 30 minutes promotes alloying for FeSONi alloy. The use of powders of different sizes and consequently the presence of small and distributed porosity limits the magnetic permeability• Sintering at 1100°C reduces oxygen and carbon content, but the impact upon magnetic properties is very small.• Densification by repressing can reach a relative density as high as 0.99, but no significant effect upon permeability was observed.
