摘要

The equivalent load method based on the inherent strain approach issuggested as an efficient welding deformation and residual stressanalysis method for large scale friction stir welded structures ofaluminum alloy Al6061-T6 sheet metal. The result of the proposedequivalent load method showed fairly good agreements with those ofthe existing finite element method as well as the friction stir weldingexperiment. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed equivalentload method have been verified. By the present method proposed in thisstudy, it will be possible to efficiently predict the welding deformationof large scale friction stir welded structures.
