When offshore platform structures are subjected to intense seismicground motions, the process of the intact structure to enter plastic statemay appear, causing irreversible damages. Therefore, it is necessary topay attention to the plastic development trends and characteristics ofthe structure. In the paper, Incremental dynamic analysis was appliedfor structural collapse analysis with multiple ground motion records.During each calculation step, plastic status and response information ofthe structure was recorded. Plastic development processes of a platformsubject to seismic loads were analyzed, which is beneficial for furtherstudies of structural dynamic collapse mechanism and anti-seismicsafety designs.
