The Study of Changes in Residents' Income and Sectoral Output—Multipliers Analysis of the SAM

The social accounting matrix (SAM) of 1997 and 2002, which distinguish fourteen levels of residents, are inverted to give multiplier effects of institutional transfers and sectoral injections on residents' income and sector output.Multipliers of the SAM are analyzed for two periods.Changes in residents' income and sectoral output are decomposed into changes in multipliers and in exogenous effects, which are often controlled by policy makers.The result shows income gap between poverty and rich widen further.Increasing output of energy sectors implies Chinese economic goes up with energy plentifully consumed.
