摘要

We have measured magnetic torque of Kish graphite in pulsed high magnetic fields of up to40 T at temperatures down to 0.5 K. The present study was motivated to elucidate the intrinsicnature of the electronic phase transition of graphite from the viewpoint of thermodynamicproperties. For this purpose, we developed a microcantilever magnetometer possessing thehigh sensitivity of better than 10?12 Am2, but no anomaly corresponding to the phasetransition was observed down to 0.5 K.
