Metal-insulator transition in doped semiconductors:disorder and correlations

A comprehensive theoretical study of the meta-insulatortransition in doped semiconductors must incorporate both effects ofdisorder and of electron-electron interactions. To this end, we use a methodwhich combines the local-spin-density approximation and the coherentpotentialapproximation. The relevance of this method is discussed.
