We analyze how the existence of interface roughness can change the excitonproperties of CdTe/Cd1-x Mnx Te strained single quantum wells (QW’s) subjected to magneticand electric fields. Numerical results obtained for CdTe/Cd0.68Mn0.32 Te QWs show that theenergy band tailoring generated due to the strain and the Zeeman effects shift the excitonenergy peaks, while small changes in the interface thickness (≈10A) can be responsible for a25 meV exciton energy broadening.
