摘要

There are many fracture problems in daily life and a lot of major disasters originate from asmall crack.When we apply classical finite element method on fracture problems,we have to usenodal force release method with the crack propagating along the edge of elements,or reMesh theelements as the crack grows.Thus,the simulation is complicated with a large amount of calculation.The basic idea of extended finite element method (XFEM) is using enriched shape functionto represent the discontinuity in the elements.
