The so-called new generation LNG carrier of Moss spherical tank type showing the highest transport efficiency has been built making improvement in economy and operation by making a united effort of shipowners and shipyards based on the valuable experiences obtained from the operation of the first generation LNG carriers. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. received the order of the LNG carriers for Australia NWS Project as a leading shipyard which took the initiative in the new generation carrier and the first ING carrier 'North West Sanderling' was delivered in 1989.
