Artificial ground freezing method has been widely used in various kinds of municipal engineering projects. But the existing formulas to calculate the temperature field of artificially frozen soil walls are all based on the conditions that frozen soil develops unrestrictedly, while in practical projects, underground structures often exist near freezing pipes, which can affect the development of frozen soil. In this paper, analytical solution of steady state temperature field of one or two freezing pipes near a linear adiabatic boundary is deduced based on mirror image method and potential superposition method. It is reasonable to believe this paper can provide some theoretical guidance to some practical projects.
