摘要

Electric power steering system (EPS) is the major power steering system all over the world due to several advantages, but EPS control algorithms on most vehicles still need to be improved. A great number of researchers don't pay attention to the road feedback in EPS control. This paper compares two methods to optimize the estimation of the road friction coefficient for control effect improvement. Developed on the C-EPS model with basic assistance and return control, the total control is added by the road friction coefficient compensation. Co-simulation results demonstrate the performance of the control under different working situations. The simulation shows that the improved strategy is effective on torque control and handling stability.
