Abstract: As the technology of gas turbines push the firing temperatures and pressures higher, the sensitivity of the turbine's performance on fuel quality is expected to increase. This, combined with the gas industry's practice of mixing several sources of natural gas in a given pipeline, may make the need for on-line fuel quality sensors more critical in the years ahead. This report describes the development of a new sensor system to determine the dewpoint of natural gas, an important indicator of fuel quality. !7
