摘要

Fluid dispensing systems have been widely employedrnin industry, by which fluid materials are delivered in arncontrolled manner. This paper presents the developmentrnof an integrated approach for the design of fluidrndispensing systems based on axiomatic design. Inrnparticular, the principles of axiomatic design, I.e.,rnindependence axiom and information axiom, are firstrnreviewed and examined for its application to the design ofrndispensing system. Based on the models developed in thernauthors’ previous studies, an approach is then developedrnto integrate the models into the design of fluid dispensingrnsystem. This approach can be used not only to evaluaternthe existing dispensing systems but also to design of newrndispensing systems.
