RESEARCH ON FIELDBUS PROTOCOL CONVERTERS

A fieldbus protocol conversion method was proposedrnas there are many fieldbus protocols coexisting. Thernstructures of filedbus protocol and ordinaryrncommunication protocol were analyzed and investigated.rnThree widely used fieldbus technology, I.e., PROFIBUSDP,rnMODBUS and HART were discussed, including theirrnprotocol structures and data transmission methods. Basedrnon the analysis results, the realization method for gatewayrnbetween PROFIBUS-DP and MODBUS, and gatewayrnbetween PROFIBUS-DP and HART were presented,rnincluding the principles of the gateway, the circuit designrnand the workflow of the software. The gateways havernbeen put into field area for testing, the results shows thatrnthey are reliable and effective.
