摘要

The disposal of mill tailing is a major environmental problem which is becoming more serious with the increasing exploration for metals and the working of lower grade copper deposits. Apart from the visual effect on the landscape of the tailings disposal, the major ecological effect is usually water pollution, arising from the discharge of water contaminated with solids, havy metals, mill reagents, sulphur compounds etc. The objective of this paper is to present a very successful experiment for bio-reclamation revitalisation of a tailing from flotation sterile mass which is disposed as waste product from the production of copper.
