Recycling of subsea trees and completion equipment isrnbecoming a practical and efficient means of developing smallrnsubsea reservoirs that were previously considered notrneconomical. However, there are concerns and tradeoffs thatrnan operator may be faced with when developing a solutionrnusing existing equipment. Modular approaches to equipmentrndesign, strict management of interfaces, and the use of fieldrnproven equipment help to overcome some of these challenges.rnBy carefully reviewing basic technical needs and selecting orrnreconfiguring equipment that satisfies these requirements,rnsignificant cost savings may be recognized, existing resourcesrnare utilized, and shorter times from discovery to first oil canrnbe achieved.
