Development of a Framework of Research Topics inSystems Engineering

摘要

This paper describes the method and result of developing a framework of researchrntopics in systems engineering. The framework of research topics was developed as part of arnproject to develop a vision for research in systems engineering for use by INCOSE. This paperrnalso describes the relationship of the framework of research topics and the description of thernfuture of systems engineering presented in the INCOSE document: Systems Engineering Visionrn2020. This paper shows significant agreement between the structure of systems engineeringrndescribed in the Vision 2020 document and the framework developed in the vision for research inrnsystems engineering. The processes used to develop both structures of ideas were conductedrnindependently and were quite different. The agreement between them demonstrates the strengthrnof the conclusion.
