QUALITY ASSURANCE CRITICAL POINTS OF VERIFICATIONLABORATORIES

In this work are analysed performance ofquality assurance in the Estonian measuring instrumentsverification laboratories. During last 10 years had Estoniachanged completely and this involves also activity on themetrology area. Basic change was case, that on the previousperiod the verification was mandatory for almost allmeasuring instruments, now shall it be replaced greatly byvoluntary calibration. But verification stays highly requiredservice. Verification area involves mainly measuringinstruments which are used in affairs. New is also fact thatnow-a-days verification laboratories are more commonlyprivate companies and public authorities carry out onlymarket surveillance. To get stability of work laboratory shallimplement quality system.Above was ground for this work and analysed are thequality and competence assurance in the verificationlaboratories. Based on the accreditation data are analysed thecritical points of quality assurance. In a summary is givenconclusion of actions which can be used for restructurationof metrological infrastructure especially in measuringinstruments verification area.
