This paper describes the comprehensive renewal and upgrade of London Underground's Victoria Line which is now in the final stages of delivery. It outlines the programme scope and the expected benefits, describes the new signalling and train control system and how the migration strategy influenced the design concept, and the regulatory and assurance arrangements that have been applied. The paper concludes by reviewing service experience and the reliability growth of the new assets.
