Antenna positioning using angular momentum of electromagetic fields

摘要

A novel antenna positioning method is proposed in this paper. The angular momentum of electromagnetic radiation is calculated using three-dimensional electromagnetic fields. The point corresponding to a minimization of the square of angular momentum is defined as the radiation center, that is, the location of the antenna. Simulation results show that the location of the antenna can be determined by the 3D EM fields at only two arbitrary points. The method proposed in this paper is independent of the frequency and polarization of the antenna.
