摘要

In differential geometry, the curvature of plane curves is one of the most important applications of the derivative of single variable functions. It can also explain many of the phenomena in practical problems. In this paper, we firstly give the definition of curvature, and the general calculation formula of curvature. Then we simulate the generation process of cycloid and evolute in order to study the mathematical principles. Finally, the Huygens isochronous pendulum was introduced, which shows the utilization of curvature in our daily life.
