Since 1995, we have been researching the application of ubiquitousncomputing technology to support the automated capture of live universitynlectures so that students and teachers may later access them. Withnvirtually no additional effort beyond that which lecturers alreadynexpend on preparing and delivering a lecture, we are able to create anrepository, or digital library, of rich educational experiences that isnconstantly growing. The resulting archive includes a heterogeneous mixnof materials presented in lectures. We discuss access issues for thisndigital library that cover short-term and long-term use of thenrepository. While our efforts have focused quite a bit on short-termnaccess that occurs over the duration of a course, it is clear thatnsignificant value is added to the archive as it is tuned for long-termnuse. These long-term access issues for an experiential digital librarynhave not yet been addressed, and we highlight some of those challengesnin this paper
