The distributed neural system-the structure and characteristics

A system is considered which results from the development of thegeneral problem of the creation of an amplifier of intellectualpossibilities of an investigator solving a complicated professionalproblem under conditions of a lack of knowledge and data. It is calledthe `Partner System' (PS). When one considers the transformation of theprogram model for an IBM computer into PS, which is suited for practicaluse, it becomes clear that there is a deep similarity between the PSproject and investigations in neurocomputing, the realization of whichcan become useful not only for creation of the PS, but also forneurocomputing itself.
