Pushing forward the limits on HP/HT developments - the elgin/Franklin interfield pipeline system

摘要

This paper gives an account of the deisng and fabrication of one of the hottest pipeline systems in the North Sea and describes some of the more significant technical challenges successfully overcome during the project. The paper deals with the design and fabrication of a force-cooled riser caisson, product pipe and insulation design and testing, and the desing and fabrication of the pipeline bundle system adopted to address the high temperature issues.
