Sliding Mode Observers for Robust Fault Diagnosis

摘要

Sliding mode observers for robust fault diagnosis in linear uncertain systems are proposed in this article. We show that a certain class of sliding mode fault diagnosis observers can be designed under much less conservative conditions than the unknown input fault diagnostic ob-servers. The proposed diagnostic technique is used for sensor and actuator fault monitoring of typical industrial processes.
