Research on Design Technology of Road Tunnel under Airport Taxiway in Soft Ground

摘要

A road tunnel with 669m long has been built under the airport taxiway in Shanghai Pudong International Airport. With the effect of the additional loads including airplane, the tunnel project is mainly related to the uneven settlement between the tunnel structure and soft ground at its two sides, which is caused by the settlement of the deep soft soil. In this study, a reasonable design technical program had been brought forward. Moreover, considering the uneven settlement between the tunnel structure and soft ground at its two sides, soil-cement pile was adopted to improve the foundation of the tunnel at the sides and the bottom. At last, a prediction study on settlement and an analysis of the survey in-situ were carried out in the road tunnel and the foundation surrounding, and these two results are approximate. The result of this study provides the scientific and feasible basis of design for the construction of road tunnels under the airport taxiways in soft ground.
