The world's first swing and floating arch bridge was towed for 10km in 3 hours to the construction site from the dockyard after the erection of 2 years and 5 months. The floating bridge was further cautiously moved very close to the dolphins with the reaction wall kept in the flat position. The bridge was connected by inserting the vertical pin at a reaction wall on one of the dolphins that are fixed to the seabed by piles. Then, the vertical walls were raised and rotated to take the upright position at both ends. The transition girders were then connected to the floating part. At both ends of the floating bridge, it is held still through the clamping walls and fenders at the dolphins. The maximum speed was kept to be 4 knot during the towing operation but was down to 1.6 knot once in a while due to wild current.
