A novel method for microwave imaging of buried two-dimensional electromagnetic targets using time-domain scattering data with or without the effect of random noise is presented in this paper. It is derived using volume equivalence prijciple, variation principle, Fourier transform. The direct problem is solved by finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and the inverse scattering problem is sloved iteratively. Numerical results show that the methd performs well.
