Control and Optimization of a Pulp Washing Process

A new, simple, low-cost, computerized control and optimization system is developed which makes it possible to continuously wash to a specific, cost-efficient, target dilution factor. The use of this system leads to lower sada loss, reduced evaporator steam demand, brighter pulp, and more uniform paper machine speed.
